Early Childhood Workshop

Get your preschoolers involved in hands-on, authentic pre-literacy activities.  This 90-minute workshop will inspire you to get your emergent readers excited about literacy and nature!  This workshop is available only to early childhood educators in Adams, Allen, Huntington, Wabash, and Wells counties in Indiana and is FREE thanks to grant support from the Lincoln Financial Foundation.  Register by e-mail only:  Send your name, school, county, and contact information to education@kidszoo.org or call 260-427-6808.

Project WILD is one of the most widely-used K-12 environmental education programs in the United States. It is based on the premise that young people and educators have a vital interest in learning about our natural world. Take home extensive curriculum materials and get 6 PGP points for attending.

 Teacher Appreciation Night

Join us for an evening of education, exploring, and fun at the zoo’s annual Teacher Appreciation Night.  You’ll participate in behind-the-scenes tours, mini-workshops, and special activities.  Plus, you’ll enjoy food, giveaways, and 3 PGP points, and it’s all FREE with pre-registration.  To register, send an e-mail to education@kidszoo.org with your name, school name, county, and grade level taught.
