Are the treats orangutan-friendly?
All treats offered at the Wild Zoo Halloween presented by STAR Financial Bank are palm-oil free or are manufactured by companies that are members of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). The sustainable production of palm oil is crucial to the survival of orangutans, because their rain forest habitat is often destroyed to create poorly managed and unsustainable palm oil plantations. Click here for a palm oil resource kit to help you make orangutan-friendly choices when you shop.

Is the whole zoo open?
Wild Zoo Halloween Presented by STAR Financial Bank activities are located in various areas throughout the zoo.  Central Zoo and the Indonesian Rain Forest will be open for Wild Zoo Halloween in 2015.  Portions of the Australian Adventure and African Journey will be open.  Please note that the Australian Outback west of the bridge is closed for renovation.

Can anyone trick or treat?
Guests of any age can purchase the Admission With Treats package, which allows collection of 10 treats and a pumpkin from the Pumpkin Patch.

Are there additional fees?
Everything listed under Daily Activity Schedule and Special Days is included with your admission.  To receive 10 treats plus a pumpkin from the Pumpkin Patch, children and adults must purchase the Admission With Treats package. Additional fees are charged for these optional activities: Z.O.&O. Railroad, Endangered Species Carousel, bead bracelet, face painting, Pony Ride, and food purchases zoo concession stands.

Are Zoo Members admitted free?
The Wild Zoo Halloween is a fundraising event for your nonprofit zoo.  Fort Wayne Zoo Society Members at the BasicPlus, Zoo Booster, Safari Club, Director’s Circle, and King of the Jungle levels get one-time free admission to the Wild Zoo Halloween. Members in those categories will receive a letter authorizing one-time free admission for those normally covered under your Membership. Watch for your letter and bring it with you for one-time free admission. All other Zoo Members (Individual, Family, Single Parent, Grandparent, and Zoo Friend) receive a discount on admission to this fundraising event.
