I LIVE IN ASIA

The hooded pitta is a small bird native to forest regions, as well as cultivated areas, of southeast and east Asia in countries like Thailand, Indonesia, and India.


I AM AN OMNIVORE

Hooded pittas will typically forage on the forest floors for insects and larvae. However, they will also eat various types of berries.


HOODED PITTAS ARE SOCIAL

This bird species, while protective of their nests and their young, often live in pairs are are known to socialize with other species of birds.


A VERY COLORFUL FAMILY

The hooded pitta is a part of the Pittidae family. This family of birds has more than 40 bird species and is known for their vibrant colors.
