FORT WAYNE CHILDREN’S ZOO: SUMMER STAFF POSITIONS

  • Temporary positions, Mid-April through Mid-October and December
  • 15 to 40 hours per week
  • Starting pay: $10.25 per hour
  • Must be at least 16 years of age

Animal Care Associate (Indiana Family Farm): Animal Care Associate is a temporary, entry-level animal care employee that assists in performing work necessary to provide basic daily animal care. Apply here.

Animal Care Associate (Indonesian Rain Forest): Animal Care Associate is a temporary, entry-level animal care employee that assists in performing work necessary to provide basic daily animal care. Apply here.

Education Interpreter: Education Interpreters enhance the guest experience at popular exhibits by providing exciting information about the animals, their care, and conservation. Apply here.

Event Associate: Event Associates assist with birthday parties, company picnics, and private events, as well as enhance the guest experience at our annual consumer events. Apply here.

Front Gate Associate: Front Gate Associates welcome guests into the Zoo by performing admission, membership, and other-point-of-sale transactions at the Zoo entrance. Apply here. 

Guest Services Lead: The Guest Services Lead serves as seasonal leadership at the zoo’s front entrance and in the Guest Services Building. This position assists the Guest Services Manager with entrance booth operations, database management, and other daily operations in an effort to create positive guest experience. Apply here.

Horticulture Associate: Horticulture Associates beautify the zoo grounds by maintaining a clean, vibrant, and healthy landscaped environment. Apply here.

Operations Associate: Operations Associates provide guests safe and memorable experiences by operating and assisting at Zoo rides, as well as ensuring a safe and clean environment by performing housekeeping and cleaning duties throughout the Zoo. Apply here. 

Program Counselor: Program Counselors share hands-on educational programing through the discovery of animals, nature, conservation, and more during the Zoo’s popular Kids for Nature Summer Camp. Apply here.

SERVICE SYSTEMS ASSOCIATES: SUMMER STAFF POSITIONS

Food Service Associate: Food Service Associates help concession stands, carts, and picnics deliver quality food and beverages for Zoo guests during their visit.

Gift Shop Sales Associate: Gift Shop Sales Associates welcome and assist guests during their visits to the Wild Things Gift Shop, stroller rental, and retail locations inside the Zoo.
