ALL NEW for 2021: Winter Wild Encounters

This winter we’re offering a new and exciting opportunity for guests who want to visit the Zoo while we are closed! Our all-new Winter Wild Encounters: Oceans Wild Encounter and Rain Forest Wild Encounter, will be offered on weekends starting February 20 through March 14.

Ocean Wild Encounter

Your Oceans Wild Encounter begins in Stingray Bay where you will grab a tray of fish and accompany aquarists in hand-feeding our stingrays and feel them slurp up their lunch right out of your hand! Note for participants with allergies: the stingrays’ food includes shellfish.

Next stop is The Reef gallery, where you’ll get nose to nose with our sharks, reef fish and giant groupers. If you think that view is great, then you’ll love going behind the scenes of our aquarium for an entirely new view! Talk with our aquarist on what it takes to care for our oceans and the amazing animals that live in them. Learn more about coral reef conservation, invasive species and the hard work being done to conserve our oceans.
