Fort Wayne IN – The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo invites guests to learn about giraffe and their care through fun, hands-on activities on Monday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
World Giraffe Day encourages Zoo guests to learn about and celebrate giraffe and their important place in the animal kingdom.
“World Giraffe Day celebrates an iconic species that almost everyone is familiar with,” says African Journey/Indonesian Rain Forest Curator, Amber Eagleson. “It not only celebrates but helps bring awareness to the conservation and care of giraffe around the world.”
World Giraffe Day Celebration at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo will feature immersive, family friendly stations throughout Central Zoo about our giraffe tower.
“The Giraffe Conservation Foundation created this annual event to create a global celebration around giraffe, themed around conservation,” Eagleson said. “Zoos like ours work hard to
create a personal experience between guests and these animals that lasts.”
World Giraffe Day activities are free with paid Zoo admission on Monday, June 21 from 10 am t 3 pm. Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo World Giraffe Day is proudly sponsored by 3Rivers Federal Credit Union.
