Rentals & Accessibility

The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo wishes to meet the needs of every visitor, so all areas of the zoo are stroller, wagon and wheelchair accessible. Reasonable accommodations for persons with a known disabling condition will be considered in accordance with State and Federal laws. Any person needing reasonable accommodations can make arrangements by calling the zoo office at 260-427-6800 or e-mail us at least 72 hours before your visit.

Wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the main entrance. Quantities are limited.

Single Stroller:             $10.00

Double Stroller:           $15.00

Wagon:                         $15.00

Wheelchair:                 Free
(ID required and held while wheelchair is being used.)

Scooter:                         $25.00
(First Come First Served)

Requirements
Rented ECVs may be used throughout the zoo. Guests must be 18 years of age to operate, and a photo ID is required to rent ECVs.

Safety Reminders
Wheelchairs and scooters are not meant for recreational devices but are intended for assistance to individuals needing help with mobility.  ECVs need to be operated at a walking speed.
The weight capacity for our ECV is 330 pounds.  The maximum weight for a manual wheelchair is 350 pounds.

The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is a certified sensory inclusive facility registered with KultureCity. We offer quiet places, sensory bags, and headphones. Our staff are trained to help guests with sensory needs enjoy their visit and sensory bags can be checked out at the Guest Services building.

Accepted Payment

We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express cards at the admission gate, gift shop, and concession stands. Only digital Ride Passes and Tickets are accepted at Zoo rides. Passes can be purchased on our website. Using a mobile device, we’ll send a QR code to your email address or through a text message.
